We will help you create an adoption plan that centers on your individual adoption needs. Our role is to provide you with non-judgmental guidance regarding your situation and your choices. We help you put all of the pieces together.

Financial Support is Available
We will work with you in establishing a budget to help with pregnancy-related expenses.

Choose Your Baby’s Parents
You can choose the family that you feel will offer your child the best life possible. All of our waiting families are open to meeting and getting to know you. We will work with you until you find the right adoptive parents. Your heart will guide you and we are here to assist you in the selection of adoptive parents. We work with families waiting to adopt from across the United States.

Adoptive Families Are Pre-Screened
Every family that is registered with A Loving Alternative must complete a home study. This means they are thoroughly screened. The home study typically includes criminal and health background checks - as well as home visits and a review of finances - to be certain a couple is secure and responsible.

In addition to the mandatory screening, you will be able to meet and evaluate waiting adoptive parents. We want you to be completely comfortable and confident with your placement choice.

Free Medical Care
If you are not receiving medical care, we will provide you with resources in your area to help you get the medical care needed for you and your baby. All medical expenses are provided at no cost to you.

Free Legal Services
Once you have selected the couple you want to adopt your baby, you will be provided with legal services from a qualified adoption attorney or adoption agency, at no cost to you. An attorney or agency will be there for you to ensure you know and understand your legal rights.

Adoption Counseling
Adoption counseling will be made available to you - before, during and after the birth - with a reputable adoption counselor to assist you. Our goal is to make sure that you get all of the emotional support needed to make the right decision for you and your baby.

You Can Choose Between A Closed or Open Adoption
The choice about openness is yours. All of the couples we work with are open to meeting and getting to know you prior to the birth. They will also gladly provide you with pictures and updates throughout the years. Many of our waiting adoptive families are also comfortable with on-going visits. You can decide how much contact you want.

We Offer Nationwide Adoption Resources
We can help you no matter where you live. We have a network of adoption professionals located throughout the United States. We rely on these specialists to assist you with all of your legal and emotional needs. These services will be provided at no cost to you. Our ability to provide resources in every state gives you more flexibility. Relocation is always an option.
