Thank you for taking the time to read about us. We hope the net few pages will help you get an idea of who we are as you consider us as potential adoptive parents to your child. First off, we want you to know how much we admire your bravery in considering making an adoption plan for your child, and how much we respect and value your decision. We are very grateful for your consideration of us as possible adoptive parents of your baby. As you read through our letter, we hope it gives you a sense of who we are, and the excitement we have about becoming parents. It has been a long-time dream for both of us, and we are committed to providing a child with a loving and secure home and a life full of love, happiness and opportunity.

    About us:
We met through an on-line dating site and after just a couple of dates we both knew this was something special. We both saw those special qualities in each other that gave us the feeling that we had met the person we were meant to be with forever. We were married on Cape Cod, which holds a special place in our hearts.
We enjoy spending time with our parents, siblings and getting together with friends, whether it is for dinner or something low key like watching a movie or playing board games. Most of all, we love spending time together! We love spending time on Cape Cod and are very fortunate that our parents have amazing vacation homes there. This typically becomes a common meeting place for family gatherings throughout the year. We love to visit often, whether it’s spring, summer, fall, or winter. Summer on Cape Cod is a lot of fun for us. We are able to walk to our neighborhood beach, and are just steps away from our boat. We love to be out on the boat during the hot summer months, either fishing, tubing, or just relaxing. Both of us have been going to Cape Cod since we were children, for over 30 years, and have developed lifelong friendships with families in our neighborhoods. It’s a tradition we hope to continue with our children one day.
We live in Easton, Massachusetts, a lovely residential community about 30 miles outside of Boston. We love to have our families over often for family dinners or for our annual hosting of Christmas, which includes both sides of the family.
Currently our family consists of the two of us and our dog, Lola. Lola, approaching 1 year, is an English Mastiff. She is the sweetest, gentlest dog you could ever meet. She loves to cuddle and nuzzle despite her size. She loves kids and gets ecstatic when she sees them.
Throughout our years together, we have built a warm, solid and loving relationship, and a home based on love, trust, family values, and commitment. Within a year of our marriage we tried to have a baby but had no success. We struggled with fertility treatments for over a year, and still looked forward to becoming parents and very happily learned that our dream of building a family might be possible through adoption. We knew that our primary goal is to be a loving parent and we can appreciate what an incredible gift a child would be to our family and we are thrilled to be able to build our family through the gift of adoption.

    About Kristine (in Michael’s words)
In our relationship, Kristine supports me in many ways, but most importantly, she has helped me grow and mature emotionally more that I could ever imagine. Her constant love and support has provided me the comfort and safety to expand my boundaries. I have come to realize her commitment to working at and participating in relationships is a remarkable and wonderful gift. She is a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She is the most kind, concerned, considerate and loving person I have ever known.
Kristine is very close with her family. She is especially close with her parents and sisters and has great extended family that gets together often. Her niece and nephew are the loves of her life and we spend lots of time with them. Especially during the summer when we’re spending time with them every weekend down to the Cape, going to the beach, fishing or playing mini golf.
As a child, Kristine was involved in many activities, dancing, girl scouts, swimming and sailing. She even tried her best at break dancing…all the craze in the 80’s. She loved her parachute pants! You’ll often find her singing around the house, making up her own words to a song. She loves to cook and experiment with new recipes all the time. She’s a great cook, lucky me!
In summary, Kristine is the most kind, concerned, considerate and loving person I have ever known. As I know she will make the most amazing mother, showering the child every day with love and affection.

    About Michael (in Kristine’s words)
Michael is an amazing, caring, loyal man. He has the most amazing sense of humor which always brings a smile and laugh to anyone he meets. He has many friends and his best friends have been in his life for over 30 years.
As a husband, Michael is always supportive and keeps me grounded. He is truly the most loving, open and kindhearted person I know. I feel I can discuss anything with him and share my most intimate feelings. He loves children; we both have nieces and nephews and he loves spending time with all of them. He’ll play baseball or football with the boys and has no problem sitting down with our nieces to play board games or Barbies.
Michael is the middle child with two sisters and was raised in a very family oriented environment with amazing loving parents. Growing up he was involved in many activities, such as baseball, basketball, football and cub scouts, with his father being the Assistant Scout Leader. His parent’s and sisters all live in close proximity to us which allows us to get together often.
Michael loves being with his family and friends. He enjoys fishing, gardening and restoring his 1970 convertible Galaxie car. The whole family enjoys this car, especially during the summer when we’re all down at the Cape.
Michael is a faithful New England sports fan, and I know he can’t wait to take our child to experience the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics games. I love his sense of humor and mellow manner and know he will make the most amazing father one day!

    Our Hopes as Parents:
As parents, we hope to offer an environment of open communication, honesty and integrity. We hope to be great role models for our child and teach the value and importance of family and love. Our child will be encouraged to try different things, to be curious and explore to find his or her passions. The importance of education and academics will be encouraged and reinforced in our home but we want them to be unafraid of failure so they can ultimately succeed. Like our parents did for us, we’ll actively help and support our child with homework and school projects.
We are financially stable and firmly believe in living within our means. We enjoy nice things, but also appreciate a good bargain. We plan on taking the necessary steps in planning for our child’s future by starting a saving account for our child’s college education.
Our child will always be surrounded by a loving and supporting extended family. Our families are a big part of our life and you’ll often find us together on weekends. Our families are so excited of our adoption and cannot wait to meet the newest member of the family.
Our hopes are that our child will have all the wonderful experiences we had as children. We both have such fond memories of our childhoods, filled with family dinners, vacations and adventures and most of all love! We cannot wait to share these same memories and create new ones with our child.

    Thank you!
